The purpose of these modules is to train healthcare practitioners in basic holistic/integral coaching skills based on the accepted core competencies and a holistic/integral conceptual framework.

1. Foundations I Module: 15 hour Teleclass or Workshop
Learning Objectives:

  • Identify one key aspect of coaching that is the same in the ICF standards and the Bark Coaching Institute model.
  • Describe how to set a coaching agreement for a coaching session.
  • Describe coaching presence.
  • Describe how to listen to a client from a body level.
  • State 2 powerful coaching questions.
  • Identify 2 methods for creating awareness.
  • Describe one key factor in creating homework that will facilitate successful goal attainment.
  • Identify 2 applications for coaching in your work.

2. Foundations II A Module: 15 hour Teleclass or Workshop
Learning Objectives:

  • Describe 5 structures of consciousness.
  • Describe one method of prioritizing.
  • List 3 learning types.
  • Describe how story can be used in coaching.
  • Describe one method for using dialog in a coaching session.
  • Describe how to use an imaginary magic wand in a coaching session.
  • Describe how walking your talk informs a coaching practice.
  • Describe how the law of attraction could assist a client to reach a goal.

3. Foundations II B Module: 15 hour Teleclass or Workshop
Learning Objectives:

  • Identify how morphic fields can inform client learning and growth.
  • Describe how meditation could help you with your coaching presence.
  • Describe the 3 faces of God framework.
  • Define the integral part of coaching.
  • Describe how to use the mental, mythical, intuitive, and archaic structures of consciousness in a coaching session.
  • Give an example of using an integral approach in one of your coaching sessions.
  • Evaluate the outcome of an integral coaching session.

4. Practicum I Module: 15 hour Teleclass or Workshop
Learning Objectives:

  • Define the 4 major core competencies.
  • List 3 tools from the mental, mythical, intuitive and archaic structures of consciousness.
  • Demonstrate an integral coaching session.
  • Evaluate an integral coaching session.

 

Completion and Continuing Education Requirements for International Coach Federation (ICF) Training Hours

If you want coach training hours for ICF certification, you will only receive credit for the actual hours you were on the teleclass. Training needs to be voice to voice; there is no make-up work. You will receive a separate certification for the coach training hours you completed.


 Completion and Continuing Education Requirements for CEs for Nursing

 

You must attend at least 7 out of 8 teleclasses for each module, and the missed teleclass must be made up within 7 days by listening to the class recording and submitting a 500 word summary to the instructor at Bark Coaching Institute. According to continuing education for nursing regulations, there is no partial credit. Earned credit is all or nothing. You will receive a separate certification for nursing continuing education.

“Contact hours from Foundations I, Foundations II, and Practicum I may be applied toward the continuing education requirements for the Holistic Nursing Certification examination and re-certification process.”

The following statement applies to Foundations I, Foundations II A, Foundations II B:

“This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the American Holistic Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's COA.”

Foundations I: Approved through April 1, 2013
Foundations II A: Approved through June 15, 2013
Foundations II B: Approved through August 29, 2013

Practicum I:

“This activity has been submitted to the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) for approval to award contact hours. AHNA is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.”

Non-endorsement of products policy:
“Approval for contact hours through the AHNA is based on an assessment of the educational merit of this program and does not constitute endorsement of the use of any specific product or modality in the care of clients.”
